I did my reading and initial journaling outside today, soaking in the gorgeous, sunny spring weather in Houston. I hope it is beautiful where you are!
Here is what I heard in Proverbs 6…
Scripture: Proverbs 6:23
For this command is a lamp, this teaching is a light, and correction and instruction are the way of life.”
Observation:
Hold fast to the Word and revisit it regularly.
Application:
Living as guided by the Word is not a one-and-done deal.
I don’t think God wants me to read it, contemplate it, and then move on. Instead, I believe He wants me to read it, live by it, and revisit his instruction many times. I will make mistakes. The only way to recognize that and also improve is to make correction and instruction a way of life.
Prayer:
Thank you, Father, for your love, your forgiveness, and the ability that you give each of us to make listening and correction a way of life. Help me, please, to see my blindspots and make adjustments to serve you well.
