I hope you had a lovely weekend and enjoyed your reading in the Proverbs without me.
Here’s what I heard today in Proverbs 10:
Scripture: Proverbs 10:12
Hatred stirs up dissension, but love covers all wrongs.
Observation:
Hatred allows problems and challenges to rule the path, but through love, those obstacles can be managed.
Application:
Hatred is a very strong thing, but so is love.
Hatred doesn’t inspire problems to be worked out, but love does.
Love doesn’t guarantee there won’t be mistakes, frustrations, wrongs, or hurt. But true love, when put first, does help in working through those wrongs to offer or accept forgiveness and change. True love most absolutely offers a path out of wrongs.
Prayer:
Father God,
Thank you for loving me through my mistakes and wrongs. Thank you for creating love to be something so powerful that it can cover wrongs. And thank you for enabling us to work toward seeing our mistakes, asking for forgiveness, and working through better ways. That’s not an easy path, but it is a good one. A foundation of love can do those things. A foundation of hate cannot.
Please help me to choose love and be reminded of your love when frustration boils inside me. With you, I can. With you, I must.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
