Scripture: Proverbs 14:1
The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.
Observation:
Wisdom builds up. Foolishness tears down.
Application:
I have the power to build up my house (and life) or to tear it down. The choice is mine.
Do I want to be wise? Or do I want to be foolish?
I believe that our Father equips and teaches me. It is then up to me to take those gifts and lessons and apply them- or let them be wasted.
I don’t want to be foolish.
Prayer:
Father God,
Thank you for creating me and guiding me. Thank you for offering me all of the wisdom I need, or at least the opportunities to gain it.
I do not want to live foolishly. I want to build up my house. Thank you for reminding me of the opportunity in choice so that I CAN do exactly that. Yes, I’ll make mistakes, but I can always work to build up with wisdom. That’s what I want to do.
